Mahakaleshwar Temple, Chowk Bazaar, Sahibganj

Mahakaleshwar Temple is one of the oldest Shiv temple of Sahibganj. It was reconstructed in the year 2022, and was inaugurated on 27th April 2022 by Barhait MLA representative Pankaj Mishra and former professor of Sahibganj College and Arun Kumar Sinha (father of DGP Neeraj Sinha). On April 27, in the midst of Vedic chanting in this temple, Pandit Vishnu Shankar, who had come from Banaras, had got the Shivling consecrated as per the rituals.

Mahakaleshwar Mandir is located near Sahibganj Police Station and Sahibganj Post Office, at Chowk Bazaar, Sahibganj.
