As clear from his Instagram username – ‘Wandering365Days’, Al Umar loves travelling, trekking and exploring new places. He is a teacher by profession, and currently he is pursuing his higher education from Jamia Millia Islamia – A Central University in Delhi.
His First Hiking Venture and The Experience!
His first hiking was Kheerganga Tek in the Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh. As per his word, it was one of the amazing experience of his life. He started trekking for the same at 2 am to witness the sunrise in chilly cold weather in the month of December 2015. When he reached the destination, he felt peace in the air and it was like the best spot for meditation. People were partying there with music and drinks. He meditated in the ‘Kheerganga Kund’, and witnessed the first sunrise of 2016 there.
His Inspiration
His father is one of the best inspiration for him, from his childhood. His father is a nature enthusiast and he loves travelling, and the same feelings, Umar inherited from his father as a gift. Umar said that during his childhood, he used to play in a artificially made hill with the natural rocks in his garden and it was his father who made that beautiful piece of beauty, for him.
Places attempted by Umar as part of his hiking or trekking journeys
He has covered almost all the Northern India except for few minor spots.
- He has been to Nepal covering parts of Kathmandu and Pokhra region.
- In North, he has been to Nag Tibba, Kedarkantha, Rishikesh, Magic Valley and Malana Village, etc
- Also he has visited Sikkim and Darjeeling and few other hill stations.
His Thoughts in his words

- Inculcate self reliance, confidence, discipline and leadership qualities.

- Sooner or later, he want to be there on the top of the world – MOUNT EVEREST.
