160 packets of fish were distributed among the women of Sadar and Taljhari
On Monday, under the convergence of the Jharkhand State Rural Livelihood Mission and the Office of the District Fisheries Officer, a total of 160 packets of fish were distributed among the women of Sadar and Taljhari, after the training. The main aim of this is to make the Sahibganj district self-dependent in the field of fish production and in order to increase the livelihood of the members of Sakhi Mandal. These members were very excited after receiving this and they told that they will try to move forward in this field and will try to give a positive message in society that women can also give their contribution in the field of animal husbandry and agriculture.
Nagar Panchayat workers are on a three-day strike, and all work stalled
Nagar Panchayat workers have gone on a three-day strike from Monday for a five-point demand, under the leadership of Neeraj Mukherjee (Secretary). This was done on the call of Jharkhand Local Bodies Employees Federation State Federation, under the banner of Rajmahal Nagar Panchayat Employees Union. Neeraj Mukherjee demanded to regularize the service of daily wage earners, to maintain the grant and loan amount given by the Housing Department under the head of the Urban Development Department, 20 lakhs in view of the dangerous tenure of the regular daily contract workers working under the watch. Demands like getting insurance from the body level, implementing old pension in the body and not appointing till the service of daily contract workers is regular, banning the activities of NGOs.
Barhait’s students cleared the Megha scholarship exam
Eight students of Barhait have got success in the Megha scholarship exam (Merit Scholarship Examination – Class VIII). Motilal Pandit, the Principal in charge informed that these students will get a scholarship of Rs 12000 every year by the government up to class 12th. The list of students who got success in this exam includes Sumit Kumar Pandit, Bhavani Kumari, Nitesh Kumar Sah, Tabrez Ansari, Visakha Kumari, Choti Kumari, and Habiba Khatoon. Among these successful students, eight are from Barhait, four are from Kotalpokhar, and two each from Borio, Taljhari, and Barharwa.
