Akbari Masjid, Rajmahal is one of the oldest mosques in India, which was constructed during the reign of Emperor Akbar. It is located on the bank of River Ganga. The Great Mughal Ruler Akbar is thought to have read the first Namaz here. It is well-maintained mosque of Rajmahal, Sahibganj and even today, many Muslims come here to offer Namaz.

This enormous mosque is an example of Mughal era architecture and the influence of Indian influences on Mughal art. The manner the roof of this Akbari Mosque had been constructed is stunning. It is also an historic monument because it is believed that this mosque was constructed during 15th-16th century (as per the local habitants). Akbari Masjid is completely made up of Bricks by using Lime and Surkhi. It’s white color wall looks stunning and beautiful.
