On Tuesday, Sanitary Pad Vending Machine inaugurated at St. Xavier’s School Sahibganj by the chief guest Suman Gupta and Dr. Vijay Kumar in collaboration with the local Surya Health Educational Trust which will result as a boon for the girl students of this school. Now, the girl students of St. Xavier’s School, Sahibganj can easily get the sanitary pads for just one rupee.
During this special occasion, the arrangement of this machine has been done by Sankalp Sangini of Netarhat Residential School’s Association of Alumni Students (NOBA GSR). Some of the chief guests, who are present during this event are Suman Gupta (District Social Welfare Officer), Director cum President of Surya Super Specialty Hospital, Noba GSR Sangini (Sahibganj), Dr. Vijay Kumar, Dr. (Prof.) Arvind Prasad Singh (former JAC President), Chandeshwar Prasad Sinha, Dr. . Sumit Kumar, Hilary D’Souza (Principal: St. Xavier’s School, Sahibganj) and more.
Around 500 girl students who were present during this event received a pad from the vending machine for one rupee. It was unanimously decided to install 100 sanitary pad vending machines in different areas of the Sahibganj district in the next one year.
